Have you ever wondered how we pad print exactly the same logo, in the same place on every single item we do when it comes to promotional merchandise?
Here is a quick video with the highlights so that when you order branded merchandise from us, you have an understanding of what we do and how we do it. After all, you are trusting us with your brand, isn’t it important that you know that we know what we are doing.
The first step in the process is to decide which product you want us to print your brand onto, it might be a ruler or a pen. It might be that you want to do something that is a little different like engraving an apple (yes, we can do that!).
Once you have gone through the process of choosing your piece of marketing swag, the next thing to do is send us your logo, we need this in the form of a vectored piece of artwork. There are various file types that we can accept
- .ai
- .eps
- .svg
Each has its own advantages and disadvantages but the critical part of the process, as far as we are concerned, is that the logo you send us must be vectored. If it’s vectored we can manipulate that logo so that it looks just as good if we are printing onto a mug or onto something flat like a ruler or in this case a slightly curved back of a piggy bank.
From there we take the logo through a process of creating a plate or (if we were screen printing) a screen that is essentially a negative, we can then add ink and transfer the ink onto the item.
With Pad Printing we use a silicone pad to transfer the ink from the plate onto the item, again and again, and again ensuring that every single print is identical.
Once the ink is on the piggy bank or whatever piece of promotional merchandise we are printing it has to go through a dryer, and our quality control to ensure that everything looks perfect.
Finally, we have to pack and send via an overnight delivery company.
